Education
In the long term the Eden Rivers Trust need to educate people about the river catchment, how important it is and how people can look after it. Most of our education work is carried out with schools but we can also provide talks to higher education and community groups.
Primary Schools

We work with up to 40 schools each year, and most of our education days meet the Key Stage One and Two objectives for Geography, Maths and Science. Please click on the links below for more information on each day.

Rivers Days; a fun way to meet the national curriculum away from the classroom whilst learning about the local environment. |

The Wetland Discovery Trail; dipping ponds and platforms, boardwalks and wader scrapes, a brass rubbing trail and field study centre. All of this is targeted at educating young people about the value of wetlands and their wildlife. |

Secondary Schools
We work with a number of secondary schools each year and can provide talks and presentations related to the environment, geography, and science. These can be tailored to meet the needs of the particular groups so

We also have a mobile classroom, which we can bring to your school. It's a converted army vehicle which has a VideoRay (a remote controlled underwater camera), microscope and TV flat screen so that we can bring the River to you!

Groups, Higher Education and Teacher Training
We can also arrange talks or tours for further education groups, teacher training groups or special interest groups. If you have an interest in rivers, the environment, science, fisheries or even the general work of the Trust we can arrange something for you.
