Big Balsam Bash: Appleby

Balsam bashing along the riverbank by the Leisure Centre in Appleby.

Come and find out what all the fuss is all about this fast-spreading, invasive, non-native plant. Pick up tips for effective balsam bashing and learn the best way to combat Himalayan balsam as an individual or by going out with a group.

Everybody welcome.

Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Wear gloves (gardening ones are best if you’ve got them), long-sleeved tops/trousers and wellies.

Don’t forget your lunch and drinks.

Booking is essential.
